National Dental PBRN presents its first webinar about study results

The National Dental PBRN hosted a webinar about results from a network study "Prevalence of questionable occlusal caries lesions" and information on the proposed study in development "Decision aids for the management of questionable occlusal caries lesions" on September 14, 2012.

Dr. Sonia Makhija, Prinicipal Investigator for the study "Prevalence of questionable occlusal caries lesions", discussed the prevalence, characteristics, and treatment of these lesions.

Dr. Dan Shugars, Investigator for the proposed study "Decision aids for the management of questionable occlusal caries lesions", provided background information on the DIAGNOdent® and CarieScan Pro® devices as well as the proposed study design. Participants were then polled on their interest in the study.

National Dental PBRN members from thirteen states as well as members from all three former regional PBRNs attended the webinar. Due to the positive feedback and popularity of this format, the network will provide additional webinars in the future.
