Midwest regional staff present at Marshfield Oral-Systemic Health Conference

Don Worley, DDS practitioner-investigator and Emily Durand, Midwest Regional Coordinator presented network results and recruited new members to the National Dental PBRN at the 2012 Marshfield Oral-Systemic Health Conference in Marshfield, Wisconsin on Friday, September 14, 2012. The national keynote was presented by David M. Krol, MD,MPH, FAAP, Team Director and Senior Program Officer, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation . The regional keynote address was presented by David Gesko, DDS, Director of HealthPartners Dental Group and practitioner-investigator  in the National Dental PBRN. Break-out sessions and poster presenters engaged a diverse and enthusiastic audience which included more than 40 regional dental practitioners as well as physicians, nurses, physician assistants, audiologists, public health professionals and researchers interested in oral health as a part of overall health. Brad Rindal, DDS, Director of the Midwest Region was also a participant stating, “This event represented a powerful coming-together of many important regional stakeholders whose personal and organizational missions overlap that of the network--to improve oral health by serving dental professionals and their patients through education and collegiality.”
